Paste recent downloads
Paste your newest download straight into an app that accepts files. Use 1 through 9 to choose recent downloads without hunting through Finder.

Paste recent clipboard entries with numbered shortcuts. Open clipboard history when you want to browse, preview, or search for something older.

Move windows into halves, fill the screen, center them, or restore their previous position. Defaults use the physical left Control key.

Rewrite, summarize, explain, or clean up text with a shortcut. Optional AI actions need your own provider; its charges are separate.

Search actions, set timers, or use configured Home Assistant and GitHub integrations. The palette is another way to interact alongside direct shortcuts.

Snap windows in milliseconds.
Use Control-Left and Control-Right for the main split-screen moves, Control-F for fullscreen, Control-C to center, and Control-R to restore the previous position. The actions are also searchable from the palette.

Press Option-Shift-1 to paste your most recent download into an app that accepts files. Use 2 through 9 for earlier downloads.

Download CommandSmith
Get the latest DMG directly from commandsmith.app.
Drag CommandSmith to Applications
Keeping the app in Applications gives it a stable home and makes future updates seamless.
Grant Accessibility permission
System Settings will ask once so global shortcuts, window movement, and paste simulation can work.
Try a direct shortcut
Press Option-Shift-1 to paste your newest download into a compatible app. Customize bindings in Settings, or use Option-Space to explore the palette.
